Also known as 'Graystreak'.

Born 1 June 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

"Alan Wexelblat graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. In 1986 he began working in the area of artificial/virtual reality at the MCC Software Technology Program. He has published a number of papers and gives frequent lectures on virtual and artificial reality. He is currently a Research Associate at the MIT Media Laboratory, working in their Advanced Human Interface Group." [publisher's bumpf, Virtual Reality Applications and Explorations , 1993]

"I've been working in and around VR and AR for seven years now but really have a different agenda than those who want to build virtual worlds. My deep belief is that for too long computer scientists and systems builders have acted as though there was only one user. I see worlds of users working together, and I see a critical need for computer science to pay much more attention to this. VR...can serve as an enabling technology. I hope to open some doors through my VR work and bring in many more people through those doors." --Alan Wexelblat (in Virtual Reality Applications and Explorations , 1993).
